Who needs to have a skin test?
Everyone having a colour service at the salon
It is important that all our clients are skin tested at least 48 hours prior to a colour and no more than 5 days before a colour service is carried out.
You will need to have an allergy test if you have used any home colourant, had any permanent make-up or have had allergic reaction to anything.
You will need an allergy test if it’s been more than six months since your last colour with us.
As professional hairdressers we have a duty to make sure you are protected against having any kind of reaction during a colour service, skin testing is the safest way of detecting any sensitivity or allergies.
A skin test only takes a couple of minutes, this should be carried out prior to your appointment.

We can also offer a home test kit if it is not possible for you to visit the salon prior to your appointment. There is a one off charge for the home test kit.
